Yay for Matty....

Last year, Matt went on a shopping spree buying up all kinds of fishing gear....hoping he would actually go fishing some day. LOL. Well this last week, he packed up his gear and headed out for the lakes. His first time out (last Saturday) was not so successful, but tonight, something bit. He caught his first fish of the year (probably the first fish in MANY years...LOL). And he sure is proud. He sent this pic to us at home, and we had to share it right away. Bostyn got huge smiles when I showed her the pic of daddy. :) So I think she definitely is proud. Way to go Matty/Daddy :)

Time keeps on moving...

We have had quite a bit happen in the last while...

Bostyn has learned how to roll over consistently. She was rolling over here and there the last month and a half, but it's like she would forget that she could do it, but now in the last week, she does it over and over. She loves how excited her mommy and daddy get too. Also, if anyone watches Jimmy Fallon, you know exactly what the "fist pump" is. Bostyn has learned how to do her own version of the fist pump (thanks to daddy), and she is pretty proud to show anyone who will watch. LOL.

With the weather so nice, Bostyn has been enjoying being outdoors. She and her puppy have chosen the deck to be their preferred spot. Range has always loved "people watching," while laying on his bed, on the deck. But now that Bostyn joins him, he usually chooses to bypass his bed, and lay on the blanket with his buddy Bostyn.

This past weekend, we celebrated Matt's first Fathers Day, along with his birthday. And to further celebrate, daddy took his daughter for her first swim. Having it be in Papa and Nana's pool was all the more exciting. Range was a little jealous that Dad had a new companion in the pool, but he learned to accept it :) And Bostyn was more than happy to show off her new 2 piece swimsuit and sun-hat. All in all, we are all doing well :)

Nummies....

Well whether we believe it or not, the time has come. Bostyn has made it very clear to us, that she will no longer put up with seeing us eat all these different foods, without her gettin' in on a little of the action herself. She has started to obsessively watch Matt and I (even Ranger) when we eat. She starts to smack her mouth, and suck on her lips and tongue whenever any of us eat. So, we finally agreed that it was time....time for Bostyn to expand her taste buds. Two nights ago was Bostyn's first attempt at having rice cereal. She was very excited to see a spoon with food on it, and even more excited to know it was meant for her, and only her.

In addition, it just happened to be a night that she had an audience. Nana Bonnie, Papa Steve, Cousin Tan & Cousin Nay were all there, to see Bostyn take her first bites of food. LOL :) Nana and Nay both helped out also. After about 8 bites, she was ready for her bottle though. It's all a process...
